ASYNC INTERNAL ARCHIVE – LEVEL 9

ACCESS LEVEL: RESTRICTED

FILE DESIGNATION: ASYNC-LEVEL-9-DOCUMENTATION

STATUS: Ongoing Investigation

CLASSIFICATION: Suburban Street Environment

Overview

Level 9 appears as an endless suburban neighborhood during nighttime. The level contains roads, sidewalks, streetlights, and houses that resemble those found in modern residential areas.

Despite its familiar appearance, the environment is completely empty. No residents or normal human activity have ever been observed within the houses or surrounding streets.

Environmental Description

Rows of houses extend in every direction, often appearing nearly identical to one another. Streets intersect at regular intervals, forming a grid-like layout that continues far beyond the visible distance.

The buildings themselves appear structurally normal from the outside, though exploration of interiors is inconsistent and often leads to unpredictable layouts.

Lighting Conditions

Streetlights illuminate the roads with a dim orange glow. However, large sections of the neighborhood remain poorly lit, creating deep shadows between buildings.

The sky above Level 9 appears permanently dark, with no visible stars or moon.

Environmental Hazards

The main danger within Level 9 is the extreme scale of the environment. The repeating layout of streets and houses makes navigation difficult and increases the chance of explorers becoming lost.

Long-distance travel is often required to locate potential exits to other levels.

ASYNC RESEARCH NOTE:

Mapping teams have reported that certain roads within Level 9 appear to extend for extremely long distances without reaching any recognizable boundary. It is currently unknown whether this level has a physical limit or if the environment continues indefinitely.

Archive terminal maintained by Research Technician MiraVoltsYT.

All level documentation stored within this terminal is part of an ongoing investigation into anomalous spatial environments commonly referred to as "The Backrooms."

Research is ongoing. Additional level reports, survival logs, and environmental data will be uploaded to this archive as new areas are discovered and successfully documented by exploration teams.
